Pastor & First Lady Adair of SMBC

Pastor Rev Joseph L Adair II and First Lady Rosalind Adair

Pastor & First Lady Adair

Pastor Joe Louis Adair, II was born March 1, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas, to Joe Louis and Alvaree Watson Adair. The family migrated to the city of Elizabeth in 1963.

Pastor Adair uses his life experiences and training to advocate for the community in general and children, in particular. Pastor Adair served the Union Baptist Church in Elizabeth for twelve years as Associate Minister under the leadership of Rev. R. Lenton Buffalo, Jr. While at Union Baptist, Pastor Adair served as Minister of Men and Youth Minister.

In October 2004, Rev. Adair was called to pastor the Second Macedonia Baptist Church in Elizabeth. His honest and straight forward way of preaching and one-on-one love for all people has been a blessing to the church.

His crown and glory are his beautiful wife, Rosalind D. Lewis- Adair, teacher in the Roselle public school system, their nine adult children and his grandchildren. Pastor Joe L. Adair, II is a passionate man of God who believes in “Serving God and His People” at all times.
